With China Manufacturing parts’s platform, it has never been easier to order machined parts with a wide range of finishing operations. This article will show you how to access this capability, as well as explore the different finishes we offer.
Get Instant Pricing for Multiple Finishes
To get a quote for one or more finishes, log in to the China Manufacturing parts, Inc. platform and upload a parametric CAD file. As of now, our finishing capabilities are for CNC parts only, so first Configure the part for CNC and then select your desired Material and Quantity.
Then, click Save and an option for + Add finish will appear. Move your cursor over the button, and the finishing options for your chosen material will appear.
Selecting a finish will show the additional lead time and cost, and depending on your selection, you may also be prompted to select Color and/or Thickness. Once you click Add finish, your selection will be added on to your part, and you may proceed with adding additional finishes.
To ensure accurate production, our platform intelligently provides guidance on which finishes can and cannot be combined and arranges the order of the processes according to what makes sense for production, not by the order in which you add them.
Once you add a finish, the Production speed and Total price on the bottom right of the configuration window update automatically. Finishing is priced per lot, so you will see the per unit price go down as you add quantity. For example, if the cost of anodizing one part is $50, adding one more unit divides that $50 across both units, bringing the per unit price down to $25.
All of the finishes are offered both domestically and overseas, giving you the flexibility to toggle between different options to find the perfect balance of speed and price.
Discover Our Range of Finishes
Below is a list of the finishes we currently offer for machined parts. For more in-depth information, refer to our Capabilities Guide.
Anodizing Type II - Grows the natural oxide layer on aluminum parts for protection from wear and corrosion, as well as for cosmetic effects.
Anodizing Type III - A thicker layer, or “hardcoat” of Type II anodizing, making the part more durable.
Anodizing Type III + Teflon (PTFE) - Covers an anodized surface with highly lubricous Teflon. Useful for tightly toleranced parts subject to friction where a solid film lubricant would cause issues.
Alodine - Also known as ‘chromate conversion coating’ or ‘chem film’, Alodine provides corrosion resistance and good conductive properties for aluminum parts.
Black Oxide - Conversion coating for steel and stainless steel. Adds mild corrosion resistance and leaves an appealing black finish.
Media Blasting - An abrasive blaster removes surface blemishes and deposits by applying glass beads at high pressure. Leaves a matte finish.
Passivation - Improves corrosion resistance for steel and stainless steel parts without a visible finish.
Zinc Plating - Adds a thin layer of Zinc onto a part’s surface for environmental and corrosive protection.
Nickel Plating - Similar to Zinc Plating, but leaves a slightly smoother finish and is slightly more expensive.
Electroless Nickel Plating - Leaves a more uniform thickness on part surfaces and results in superior wear and corrosion resistance than standard Nickel Plating.
Tumbling - Smooths and polishes rough metal surfaces. Uses include burnishing, deburring, cleaning, breaking sharp edges, surface hardening, and more.
Electropolishing - Cleans steel and stainless steel parts to reduce corrosion and improve appearance by making the metal brighter.
Powder Coating - Provides a protective color finish using an evenly applied, heat-cured paint.
